Say ‘good bye’ Zac!

After a four-year stay at Skidaway Institute, Zac Tait has left to begin a PhD program at North Carolina State University.

Zac started at Skidaway Institute as a Savannah State grad student with Marc Frischer as his advisor. After graduating in 2013, he managed Aron Stubbins’ lab. He also filled in as a marine tech on the R/V Savannah. He was heaviliy involved in Marc’s Barrow, Alaska project and made several trips to Barrow. He also worked on two Groves Creek projects.

At NCSU he will be pursuing a doctorate in organic geochemistry funded by NASA. Zac and his wife, Lori, had two children during his stay at Skidaway, Iris (3) and Lanier (6 months).

“I will really miss the fishing at SkIO along with the staff and students,” he said.
